You Can Look Younger Than 60!

Some things say young and youthful whilst
others scream old lady

Look Younger and Feel Better

A Brand New Hairstyle

Leave years behind you with a great new casual haircut. Get some rich colour and soft-lights and lavish conditioner into your hair so it sways and shines and helps you to look younger. Just make sure you find a stylist who understands how to modify trends to suit a mature face.

Avoid spraying your hair in place. Dull colours and hair in bad condition, no shine. Hair that’s too long held back in a pony tail. Gray hair (unless it is lovely gray hair)

Pamper Your Skin

Fresh, natural skin with a dewy cared for look makes a mature face positively stunning. Good skin care
hydrates and plumps up mature skin so wrinkles and imperfections are minimised and become just part of a lovely smile.

Neglected skin can look very old. There are a host of ways to treat dry and flaky skin, facial redness and that lack lustre look.

Younger Make Up

Use soft and natural make up techniques look younger and much more attractive. Fine powder finish to skin, creamy lipstick and subtle eye shadow colours say young and uncomplicated. Cleverly concealed imperfections make for loads of confidence.

Heavy make up that is too dark or too tanned, matt and dull looks old. Dark, sharp, eyeliner, bright colored eyeshadow and dark lipstick melted into tiny lines around the mouth put years on us.

Work on Your Smile

A great smile, revealing sound, clean white teeth is stunning.
Dentist, hygienist, and dental brushing/flossing are all at work here. Clever older women know that pure white blouses and white, white pearls make your teeth look dingy. Ditto for dark lipstick.

We don’t need to drink our coffee through a straw like models but stained and yellowy teeth can be improved even on a budget. Smoky breath…uh!

Relax Your Wardrobe

Casual looks younger. Great jeans that really sit well teamed with smart jackets and heels. Dresses that beautifully skim over those “tell tale” bits or cover them up. The right length and the right colors. Original and confident looks younger and feels great too.

Old is too contrived or sloppy. That’s suits, costumes, perfectly matched everything. Baggy jeans, jogging bottoms and trainers. Dresses that show too much flesh unless it’s really toned and tanned!

Shoes – A Girl’s Best Friend!

Shoes as high as you can wear them, (practice makes perfect!) feel great and look younger. Then there’s sandals and wedges, medium heels and kitten heels, boots in every style imaginable. Shoes are magnificent confidence boosters. Clever older women own lots of them and wear them too!

Ditch any worn out flatties, trainers and other neglected and sloppy footwear.

The Small Stuff

Bags, jewellery, eye glasses, scarves and wraps can add the wow effect that says youthful and fun. Clever older women shop with their daughters and are not afraid to try out something new. They chop and change and never get bored or boring…

One bag fits all is old! Always the same jewellery (however valuable). Comfy cardies and boring scarves. I am guilty of the last two, when it’s cold but I’m working on it.

Work Those Undies

That magic underwear that seamlessly smoothes and lifts in all the right places. A glimpse of delicate pastel or a flash of ravishing red, fun, exciting, youthful.

Floppy boobs, too tight panty lines showing through skirts and trousers. Bras that say behind your back that they used to fit once! And dare I say it, the “thong thing” over the back of hipster jeans…

A sense of humour is irresistible and I hope that you enjoyed my ranting. The goal is not perfection otherwise we would all become fanatics. Be aware and take on board the changes that appeal to you and just be confident and look younger.

Feel younger and do something a little crazy every now and again!
