My Dream is to Make Every Day Count
by Gale

I don't have a 'BIG DREAM' story. I'm in my 50s and my dreams are about living every day doing more of what I love than what I don't love.
When I entered my late 40s I was overworked, overwhelmed, and a little lost. Everything on paper looked great. I had a high paying job, a great home, great friends and family. But I knew there had to be more.
I finally realized what was missing was that I wasn't enjoying the journey. I was so focused on attaining the goal (no matter how big or small it was) that I didn't take time to enjoy getting TO the goal.
Today, I consciously try to enjoy all the little moments of the day and in doing that, I have been able to achieve even more of my dreams and goals and they are so much more satisfying because I am enjoying the entire process.
My dreams this year are to continue working on my hobby websites, travel to new places, and become a foster parent for animals in need. They're small dreams maybe, but I get so much joy from them.
The great thing about dreaming is you're never done. As soon as one dream is realized, there's another one right behind it.
Life is supposed to be fun and I intend to have fun until the very end...
