You Can Look Younger Than 60!
The easiest way...
It's about "Old Tags" and "Young Tags"?
Our friends, family and people we meet, make mental notes about us according to how they think we look. Certain things say young, youthful and they get a "young tag."
Other characteristics scream old and they get an "old tag"
These things fall into 8 simple categories and if you get them right you can look 10 years younger.
"Young tag" your Hair
Leave years behind you with a great new casual haircut. Get some rich colour and soft-lights and lavish conditioner into your hair so it sways and shines and helps you to look younger.
"Old" tag goes to hair sprayed in place. Dull colours and no shine. Hair that's too long held back in a pony tail. Gray hair (unless it is lovely gray hair)
"Young tag" your Skin
Fresh, natural skin with a dewy cared for look makes an older face positively stunning. Good skin care
hydrates and plumps up mature skin so wrinkles and imperfections are minimised and become just part of a lovely smile.
"Old" tag goes to neglected skin that appears thin and flaky with reddish patches. A very dry crepy look.
- "Young tag" your Make up
Soft and natural make up is younger and much more attractive. Fine powder finish to skin, creamy lipstick and subtle eye shadow colours say young and uncomplicated. Cleverly concealed imperfections make for loads of confidence.
If you have never quite mastered the Magic of Make Up, then this 10 Step Make Up Guide could help you update your "look"
"Old" tag goes to heavy concealing make up, matt and dull. Eye liner or coloured shadow. Dark lipstick melted into tiny lines around the mouth.
"Young tag" your Smile
A great smile, revealing sound, clean white teeth is a definite "young" tag. Dentist, hygienist, and dental brushing/flossing are all at work here. Clever older women know that pure white blouses and white, white pearls make your teeth look dingy. Ditto for dark lipstick.
"Old" tag goes to anything less than perfectly clean, healthy
teeth. Stained and yellowy teeth and uh.. smoky breath.
"Young tag" your wardrobe
Casual is younger. Great jeans that really sit well teamed with smart jackets and heels. Dresses that beautifully skim over those "tell tale" bits or cover them up. The right length and the right colours. Original and confident looks younger and feels great too.
"Old" tag goes to a look that is too contrived or sloppy. That's suits, costumes, perfectly matched everything. Baggy jeans, jogging bottoms and trainers. Dresses that show too much flesh unless it's really toned and tanned.
"Young tag" - Heels on Shoes!
Shoes as high as you can wear them ( practice makes perfect!) feel great and look younger. Then there's sandals and wedges, medium heels and kitten heels, boots in every style imaginable. Shoes are magnificent confidence boosters. Clever older women own lots of them and wear them too!
"Old" tag goes to flatties, trainers and other neglected and sloppy footwear.
"Young tag" the Small stuff
Bags, jewellery, eye glasses, scarves and wraps can add the wow effect that says youthful and fun. Clever older women shop with their daughters and are not afraid to try out something new. They chop and change and never get bored or boring...
"Old" tag goes to one bag fits all! Always the same jewellery (however valuable). Comfy cardies and winter scarves. I am guilty of the last two, when it's cold but I'm working on it.
"Young tag" those Undies
That magic underwear that seamlessly smoothes and lifts in all the right places. A glimpse of delicate pastel or a flash of ravishing red, fun, exciting, youthful.
"Old" tag goes to floppy boobs, too tight panty lines showing through skirts and trousers. Bras that say behind your back that they used to fit once! Dare I say it, the "thong thing" over the back of hipster jeans...
A sense of humour is irresistible and I hope that you all enjoyed my ranting. The goal is not perfection otherwise we would all become fanatics. Be aware and take on board the changes that appeal to you and just look younger.
Be interested in lots of things. Don't get left behind by
technology. Let someone explain and keep trying until what ever it is works.
Feel younger and do something a little crazy every now and again!
