I followed a will-o-wisp

by Myra Lorey
(Bothell, WA)

Me at 70

Me at 70

It seems to me, that I just did, what I did, and here I am, where-ever, that is, I am here.

What can I say, in high school, the public library had one book on yoga, I was the only one to ever read it. From there, came Judo classes, (only woman in class) followed by aikido, tai chi, and kung fu; jumping out of airplanes (sport parachuting) for fun and to meet men (1960s), studied with a couple of Shaman, walked on burning coals that measured about 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit (550 degrees Celsius) (fire-walker); and then found Kundalini Yoga in 2006, and started a website, in 2007 at age 68; 2 years later, I started a 2nd website and began learning how to be a webmaster.

Going nuts and having fun, that is the name of the game, when you start learning, a new non-spoken language called HTML. A computer programing language that did not even exist, when I was 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 years old? In 1982, I learned how to use a personal computer, an Apple IIe. The internet itself did not take off until 1995, and it was nothing like we have now.

And, here I am at age 70, learning HTML . Sometimes hard, sometimes not, sometimes makes sense < begin > , sometimes doesn't, imagine going through an entire page (with a gazzillion <>) looking for the extra ( > ) that could cause big problems with how your page shows up on the internet? It's mind boggling, that's what it is!!

But what a thrill!! To see what you can do. What you can create, besides a mess. Been there done that too.

Recipe: keep the wonder going (your curiosity), or develop it - if you don't have it, (pretend, you have it and you will have it) you can never tell, where it will lead. Just know, that when an idea, keeps coming back to you, over and over - that is your intuition speaking to you, do what ever it is telling you to do, and you will find yourself, living-your-life.

My favorite saying is "It doesn't matter, if you fail or succeed, what matters is that you did it."

I just saw the movie "What the Bleep do we Know" and in it we were shown how a molecule of water can change, depending on the thoughts directed at it, and since our bodies are what 85 - 95 percent water, then what we think of about ourself and our life, is what we are creating. Let's all of us think about a different world and create that new one.

My new website, kundalini-yoga-info is where I am Cross-referencing Kundalini Yoga Information. Why would I do this? Because, I could not find the anything. It is not fun, to have to go through every Kundalini Yoga book you own, looking for a Kriya (exercise) that you know you have seen, somewhere. It is much easier to go to a website and look there for it. Not that I have all the books, integrated, yet. But, I have a lot, there. I love the music, the teachings, the ways to get rid of stress, to heal and to help others. To keep healthy, that anyone, in any shape can do. Mantras for prosperity, to balance the hemisphere of the brain, it is such an incredible technology.

Sat Nam, Sat Avtar

Your site is a great Kundalini Yoga and Meditation site is a wonderful resource. And YOU are amazing - I enjoyed learning more about you! You are breaking down the paradigm of aging by your willingness to try new things.

Yes, I agree with you about intuition and receiving repeated messages. I would also like to add what I have learned through my experience --- is that thing that we complain about - it usually means it's our job to do. Lesson: be careful what you choose to complain about.

peace to ALL,
